My phone isn’t listed for Android 15 and HiOS 15 Updates. What should I do?

Your TECNO phone isn’t getting the new HiOS update

Your device will still function, and most apps will work, but without the update, it may face security risks, missing features, and a gradual performance decline.

If your TECNO phone isn’t eligible, here’s what you can do:

1. Upgrade your TECNO Smartphone:

You might consider upgrading your old smartphone to a newer model that is eligible for regular Android updates and security patches.

2. Third-party Custom ROMS:

Many developer communities, especially on Telegram, offer custom ROMs for itel devices that no longer receive official updates. These ROMs bring the latest Android features, often including elements from brands like Samsung, Huawei, OnePlus, and Google Pixel.

However, installing a custom ROM requires technical expertise and will void your itel warranty.

3. Regularly Check for Security Patches:

If your TECNO smartphone isn’t eligible for the HiOS 15 update, it will still receive Android security patches until support ends. TECNO Android 15 Release Date :

The TECNO HiOS 15 update download should be released in the second quarter of 2025, and will be available for the PHANTOM, CAMON, SPARK, POVA and PAD series. No TECNO POP smartphone will receive the Android 15 update.

TECNO Software Update Policy:

TECNO promises two years of HiOS system update (Android 15) and 3 years of security patches for the PHANMTOM, CAMON, SPARK, and POVA series.

The PAD series gets atleast one year of HiOS system update (Android 15) and 2 years of security patches, while the POP series is guaranteed only security patches only.
