TECNO Android 14 Release Date

TECNO commenced the release of Android 14 (HiOS 13.6) in December 2023, starting with the Camon 20 series. The rollout of Android 14 to other TECNO phones will be in phases and spread to the second quarter of 2024.

TECNO Software Update Policy

TECNO promises two years of Android updates and security patches for the PHANTOM, CAMON, and SPARK series. Though TECNO POVA, POUVOIR, and POP series also qualify for the same benefits, they are guaranteed more security patches than Android updates.

How To Update Your TECNO Phone

1. Ensure your TECNO phone has at least 50% battery life and is connected to the internet
2. Go to your phone Settings.
3. Scroll down and select System.
4. Click on System Update and then Online Update.
5. If there are any available updates, they will appear on your screen. Click on Download to initiate the download.
6. Mobile data users might see a prompt pop up; click on Continue for it to proceed.
7. When the download is complete, click Install to begin the update installation process.
8. Your TECNO phone will reboot for the installation to take place.

If you already have the TECNO HiOS update on your phone, select “Local Update“, locate the file, and click on it to proceed with the installation.
