Infinix has officially jumped into the gaming market with its launch of the Infinix GT 10 Pro, its first-ever dedicated gaming smartphone. This new GT line of smartphones is targeted towards young gamers, and Infinix aims to give a high-performance gaming experience but at an affordable price.
The major highlights of the Infinix GT 10 Pro include a 5000 mAh battery capacity (with up to 45w), MTK Dimensity 8060 (6nm) chipset with an octa-core processer, Mali G77-MC9 GPU, 5G modem, up to 16GB extended RAM, 120Hz 10-bit FHD+ AMOLED display, 108 MP triple rear camera setup, Cyber Mecha Design Mini-LED Indicator, and more, confirming some early leaks. Infinix says that the device comes with a “clean & pure OS with no bloatware” and “no in-system ads“. So let’s look at the specification properly.
Infinix GT 10 Pro Specification
Launched on August 3, 2023, the Infinix GT 10 Pro sports a 6.67-inches (FHD+) AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400px resolution, and can run at 120, 90, and 60Hz refresh rates and features 360Hz touch sampling when tracking two fingers. Powering the device is an Octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8050 (6nm) processor with up to 3GHz, ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and a 5G modem. There’s 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM onboard that can be expanded to 16 GB via virtual RAM, and 256 GB of UFS3.1 storage. For those who might need extra storage, there’s a microSD slot card that supports up to 1TB of storage to house all your multimedia files.
The infinix GT 10 Pro runs on Android 13 which Infinix claims is a “clean & pure OS with no bloatware” and “no in-system ads“, a thing many Infinix users have long been craving for. To give its product a long life span, the Shanghai-based company has also promised 2 years of OS upgrades and security updates to the GT 10 Pro.
In the camera department, there is a triple rear camera setup that consists of a main 108MP camera with (f/1.75 aperture), a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide camera with quad-LED flashlight. The setup supports 4K video recording at 30fps. There is a 32MP selfie camera at the front display of the device accompanied by two LED flashlights, and can make 2K videos at 30fps.
When it comes to battery juice, the Infinix GT 10 Pro is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports up to 45-watt PD chargers and a USB type-C port. Supported sensors include proximity, gyro, e-compass, light, fingerprint, motor, and G-sensor. Other features of the Infinix GT 10 Pro include support for dual nano-SIM, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and IP53 dust & water resistance.
Gaming Power and Design
The Infinix GT 10 Pro looks similar to the Infinix Note 30 Pro, though it has some distinct designs and features that set it apart, giving it the look of a gaming device. It sports a polycarbonate body with curved edges with a stripe design at the rear of the phone which leads us to the “Mecha design“.
The Mecha design features a small LED stripe in the rear camera setup that can light up, as well as a photochromic duotone colour-changing back that can switch between colours. The rear of the device also looks like a transparent panel, coupled with the colour accent gives it a unique and special look that makes it easily stand out from the crowd.
The Infinix GT 10 Pro 8-core MTK Dimensity 8050 (6nm) processor with up to 3GHz peak speed and 9-core ARM Mali-G77 GPU offers a supreme gaming performance.
Equipped with a 120Hz AMOLED display that features a 360Hz touch-sampling rate, users don’t get to experience any lacklustre moments during gameplay as the Infinix promises instantaneous finger-to-screen interaction and unparalleled responsiveness.
Another feature of the Infinix GT 10 Pro is Bypass Charging. This feature allows the phone user to power the phone directly on electricity without having to charge the battery. This way, you get to control the phone temperature and not have to worry that the device will heat up during gameplay. This feature also prolongs the phone’s battery life.
Infinix also thought it wise to add a 3.5mm audio jack, which shouldn’t even be a debate when it comes to a gaming phone. There are two speakers onboard the phone backed up by a 4D vibration engine to give haptic feedback during gameplay. The two speakers, alongside two mics, are located at the bottom and the top of the phone.
The phone weighs under 190 grams and doesn’t feel slippery or cause discomfort when carrying it around.

The Infinix GT 10 Pro will be sold for less than $250 and will be available in Cyber Black, and Mirage Silver. Though pricing might vary slightly per region, the device will be available in stores around the world from August 13, 2023
