Why Is My Battery Draining Fast After Updating to XOS 15?
There are many reasons why your Infinix smartphone is experiencing battery drain after the Android 15 upgrade. Some of the most common reasons include:
- Background app activity and sync
- System re-indexing after update
- High screen refresh rates and brightness
- Misbehaving apps not optimized for Android 15
- Battery calibration needs resetting
10 Proven Fixes for Battery Drain on XOS 15 and Android 15
1. Auto-index and Calibration
After a major OS upgrade, it’s normal for your battery to behave unpredictably for the first few days. During this period, your device is busy reindexing data, optimizing apps in the background, and recalibrating the battery to align with the new system.
There’s no action needed on your part — simply allow the phone to run as usual, and it should stabilize on its own. For most users, performance and battery life begin to normalize within a week. Just be patient, and you’ll likely notice a marked improvement.

After updating to XOS 15, reboot your smartphone to stabilize system performance. This will help to prevent some background processes from draining your battery.
3. Recalibrate Your Battery
- Use your battery until it drains down to 0% and goes off.
- Now charge and do not power it on until it gets to 100%.
- Once fully charged, power your device and then reboot.
This process helps your Android system to relearn your battery’s full capacity.
