Infinix is dishing out the XOS 15 Android 15 based update to the NOTE 40 Series. This Infinix NOTE 40 Series Android 15 update will introduce many features that were unveiled with the recently launched NOTE 50 series, and will also bring about an optimized system performance, and address existing issues.
When it comes to new XOS releases, Infinix do roll out the updates to the NOTE series before the others, we saw this last year too.
Last month, Infinix announced on its X handle that the NOTE 40 Series will be the first to receive the XOS 15 × Android 15 updates, starting in Q2 2025.

Keeping to its words, XOS 15 on Infinix has landed on the NOTE 40. According to a Google Play Console listing, Infinix has updated the NOTE 40 (model number X6853) Android status to Android 15, which means the Infinix NOTE 40 XOS 15 update is ready for rollout.

However, the Android versions for the other NOTE 40 smartphones on the Google Play Console remained the same and hasn’t been updated to Android 15. They include:
- Infinix NOTE 40S: X6850B
- Infinix NOTE 40X 5G: X6838
- Infinix NOTE 40 5G: X6852
- Infinix NOTE 40 Pro: X6850
- Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G: X6851
- Infinix NOTE 40 Pro+ 5G: X6851B
We expect Infinix to update their Android status to Android 15 anytime soon, before XOS 15 can be released to them. However, it doesn’t always go like that.
Last year, we saw that Infinix released Android 14 on some NOTE 30 variants before updating their Android status in the Google Play Console. We can’t tell the route they would ply this year.
10 Fixes to Overheating and Battery Drain After XOS 15 Android 15 Update
As usual, this update will vary per region. From the Middle East, to Africa, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and South America, we can’t tell where the smartphone giant will first commence the release.
Meanwhile, let’s see what’s new in the Infinix XOS 15 Android 15 Update.
Note: Please, ensure to share your Android 15 experience in the comment section, stating your phone model, country, update size, etc, 🙏.

My infinix note 40 has been experiencing severe battery drain problem even when its idle since android 15 update I’ve tried stopping almost all application background processes and all the recommeded steps I could find on the web but it still drains my battery.
I am a light user and before update my battery last for 36-48 hours
Now it only last for 22 hours, if at all.
