In Q1 2024, Transsion-owned brands TECNO and Infinix demonstrated the highest annual growth in Russia, securing second and third place, respectively, among the top five smartphone brands.
The Russian smartphone market experienced significant growth in 2023, a trend that persisted into the first quarter of 2024. Sales from January to March reached their highest levels since 2018, both in terms of quantity and revenue.
According to MTS, 7.4 million smartphones worth 186 billion rubles were sold in the first quarter of 2024. This represents a 15% increase in units sold and a 34% increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2023.
Among the top five brands with the highest unit sales in Q1 2024, Xiaomi led the Russian market with a 29% share. TECNO followed with 17%, Infinix with 12.5%, Samsung with 10.5%, and Apple with a 9.5% share, an impressive feat from the Transsion brands.

In terms of revenue, Apple led with a 37% share, followed by Xiaomi with 18%, Samsung with 17%, TECNO with 8%, and Infinix with 6%. Infinix also saw a remarkable 108% annual growth, while TECNO followed with 53%.

In 2023, Infinix broke into the top 5 brands in Russia, achieving a fourfold increase in sales and profits, driven by popular releases such as the NOTE 30, NOTE 30i, and HOT 30i. TECNO also saw double-digit growth last year, thanks to impressive sales from the SPARK 10C and SPARK 10 Pro.
Infinix has enjoyed a successful run in Russia. After breaking into the top five, the brand has continued its upward trajectory, overtaking Samsung and Apple in unit sales. This success is partly due to the sanctions imposed on Moscow.

Выбирал себе телефон. В итоге променял Samsung A52 на Infinix NOTE 40 PRO.
Ни минуты не жалею. Единственное – хуже динамики.
Не удивлен их взрывному росту.
А про айфон: красавчики. При 9,5% продаж иметь 37% выручки всего рынка. С учетом копеечной стоимости телефона – прибыль колоссальная.
