Transsion successfully maintained its dominance in the Philippines smartphone market in Q1 2024, thanks to strong market offerings from its brands, Infinix, TECNO, and itel.

According to a report by market research firm IDC, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer held the number one spot in the Philippines with an impressive 44% share while also achieving a remarkable 188% Year-on-Year growth.

Among the three Transsion brands in the Philippines, Infinix was the biggest contributor to the dominance of the Chinese smartphone maker. According to IDC Philippines Senior Research Analysts for Devices Research, Angela Medez, Infinix accounted for 60% of Transsion’s total shipments, while TECNO made 30%, and itel rounded up the 10%.

When you break Transsion’s 44% of the Philippines market share, Infinix gets 26.4% and TECNO 13.2%. You get the below standing when you don’t combine Infinix and TECNO shares.
