Infinix has announced plans to launch two groundbreaking technologies – AirCharge and Extreme-Temp Battery – at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show 2024, slated for January 2024.
What is Infinix’s AirCharge Tech?
The AirCharge technology is a new wireless charging solution that allows users to charge smart devices over the air without cables or physical contact with the charging pad. This way, users can effortlessly charge their device while gaming, watching videos, and performing some other activity without the inconvenience of the traditional cable.
This tech allows over-the-air charging within a distance range of 20 centimetres and operates at a safe and low frequency below 6.78MHz while delivering up to 7.5W of charging power. Thanks to Infinix’s innovative multi-coil magnetic technology and adaptive algorithms, it works at angular deviations of up to 60 degrees.

Infinix says AirCharge comes with an end-to-end Resonance and over-voltage protection (OVP) Circuit that effectively safeguards the circuitry to ensure charging safety, even in cases where the smart device is constantly moved away from the charging pad.
“What was once just a concept has now become a commercial reality,” said Liang Zhang, Deputy General Manager at Infinix. “Infinix is committed to practicality and consumer safety as it pushes the boundaries of over-the-air charging technology. By focusing on multi-coil resonance technology and continuously making significant technological advancements, Infinix aims to revolutionise the way we charge our smart devices.”
New Extreme-Temp Battery functionality for Extremely Cold Weather
Most batteries survive cold weather. However, they tend to experience lithium ion freezing, compromising their ability to charge or release energy when they face extremely cold temperatures. A battery life span also tends to reduce since cold weather makes charging more often, thus eating up the number of charging times in its life cycle.
To address this issue, Infinix has partnered with industry-leading technology suppliers and achieved a breakthrough that enables batteries to perform very well even under extreme temperatures as low as -40 °C.
Called Extreme-Temp Battery, this functionality comes with a charging temperature range of 100°C(-40°C-60°C) and ensures functionality and endurance even in the most extreme cold environments. According to the Transsion-owned company, it incorporated biomimetic electrolyte and fusion solid-state technology on the electrodes to enable the functionality to work in cold environments.
