Infinix Ends XOS 15 Rollout, Abandons HOT 50 Series and Others

Finally, Infinix has released the last wave of XOS 15 update list and their release timeline. With this information, users will know exactly when the Android 15 update will arrive on their smartphones.

Also, those who have been pondering their heads, wondering if their Infinix smartphones are eligible for the Android update or not, will finally know their fate and rest.

The Final XOS 15 Update Schedule

According to the official announcement, the XOS 15 rollout will conclude with the following devices:

• ZERO Series (4G & 5G): September 2025
• ZERO Flip: December 2025

Infinix has stated that the ZERO Flip will be the last device to receive the Android 15-based update, marking the end of the company’s rollout.

Devices Confirmed to Miss Out on XOS 15

The final list confirms that the following smartphones and tablets launched in 2024 will not be updated to XOS 15:

• HOT Series: HOT 50i, HOT 50, HOT 50 Pro, and HOT 50 5G
• XPAD Series: XPAD
• SMART Series: SMART 9 and SMART 9 HD

A Controversial Decision for HOT 50 Owners

While it’s generally expected that ultra-budget devices like the SMART series miss out on major OS updates due to hardware limitations, the exclusion of the XPAD tablet and the majority of the HOT 50 series is a significant blow to customers.

The decision is particularly frustrating for owners of the HOT 50 series. Infinix rolled out the Android 15 update to the HOT 50 Pro Plus alone, abandoning the remaining members of the HOT 50 family, including the capable HOT 50 Pro.

This is especially questionable, given that the specifications of the HOT 50 Pro are not significantly different from those of the updated Pro Plus model.

For context, a key competitor like Xiaomi’s Redmi 14C, which occupies a similar market segment to the HOT 50 (4G & 5G), is already running Android 15 and is expected to receive Android 16 next year. This highlights a growing software support gap that could influence customers’ future purchasing decisions.
