With just a few days to launch the NOTE 40 series, Infinix has introduced the Cheetah X1 Chip, the company’s first self-developed chip to power the new All-Round FastCharge 2.0 in the upcoming NOTE 40 series.
The Infinix NOTE is known for its FastCharge capability, which caters to young users’ needs. With that in mind, Infinix introduced this groundbreaking advancement in power management tech to tackle low battery life issues and ensure ample power for social media, prolonged gaming sessions, and outdoor adventures.
A Cutting-Edge Power Management Solution
The Cheetah X1 chip boasts a highly customized and robust design. It comprises three power modules designed to drive the versatile All-Round FastCharge 2.0 across various charging scenarios.
- All-round Support Module: This module accommodates eight different charging scenarios to suit different user needs and ensure optimal performance. These eight scenarios include up to 100W multi-speed wired charging, wireless charging, wired reverse charging, wireless reverse charging, bypass charging, AI charging protection for night charging, extreme-temp tech for -20°C, and multiple-protocol charging.
- High-precision Power Monitor Module: This module excels at real-time monitoring of current and voltage, ensuring precise adjustment of charging volume. This way, it strikes a balance between charging efficiency and temperature control. At the same time, it safeguards battery health and prolongs the device’s lifespan.
- Safety Module: This module integrates 63 comprehensive protection measures to cover an extensive range of potential risks associated with charging. Activated automatically via the chip’s monitoring and recognition capabilities, these safeguards relay crucial information to the phone’s other protocols. This data can then prompt user alerts, significantly enhancing overall user convenience.
By integrating these three modules, the All-Round FastCharge 2.0 system achieves unparalleled efficiency management. The Cheetah X1 chip serves as a central information hub, eliminating the need for translation processes as current flows through the phone.
Intelligent algorithms built into the chip efficiently distribute power to the required components, resulting in optimized charging. This technology is akin to the phone’s brain, enabling it to offer charging functions beyond standard modes through a streamlined process.
“At Infinix, customer feedback is at the core of our innovation process. With each new generation of our mobile phones, we strive to incorporate this feedback to deliver the best products to our tech-savvy consumers. That’s why we’ve taken the bold step to develop our own chip, elevating our All-Round FastCharge technology to new heights. This allows us to offer cutting-edge functionality in control protocol circuits, charging applications, and AI integrations, all while ensuring safety and reliability. Our commitment is to provide our customers with top-notch phones that excel in functionality and performance.” – Weiqi Nie, Product Director at Infinix.
The Transsion company said they spent two years researching global consumer insights to develop the Cheetah X1 chip. With a specialised team, they could use advanced packaging technology and comprehensive functional integration. As a result, they created a customized power management chip that is the most feature-rich in the market
