After unveiling the ZERO 40 series last week, Infinix is preparing to launch the budget-friendly HOT 50 series in India on September 5, 2024, just a few days from now.
So, what are the specifications of the HOT 50 series? What improvements does it bring over last year’s HOT 40 series? Here’s everything we know about this upcoming lineup.
Infinix HOT 50 Series Specifications and Features
The Infinix HOT 50 series comprises five models: HOT 50i, HOT 50, HOT 50 5G, HOT 50 Pro, and HOT 50 Pro+, with the HOT 50 Pro+ being the flagship model and the HOT 50i the most budget-friendly. As revealed by an IMEI database listing (leaked via Gizmochina), here are the model numbers for these upcoming smartphones:
- Infinix HOT 50i: X6531
- Infinix HOT 50: X6882
- Infinix HOT 50 Pro: X6881
- Infinix HOT 50 5G: X6720
- Infinix HOT 50 Pro+: X6880
According to the Google Play Console, the HOT 50 and HOT 50 Pro will feature the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset (MT6789), while the HOT 50 5G will be powered by the Dimensity 6020 chipset (MT6835V/ZA). All three models will come with 8GB of RAM, expandable up to 16GB with virtual RAM options.
While the specific chipset details for the other models remain unknown, it is confirmed that the HOT 50i will be available in 4GB and 8GB RAM variants, emphasizing affordability. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, and a 5,000mAh battery is also expected.
Infinix claims the HOT 50 5G will be the slimmest in its category, measuring just 7.8mm in thickness. Additional features include a triple rear camera setup, a punch-hole display, an IP54 splash-proof rating, and a unique ‘Wet Touch’ feature that allows usage even with water droplets on the screen.
What’s more? Infinix promises that the HOT 50 5G will “retain up to 80% of its original performance after 60 months” of usage. If this is supported by regular Android updates, it could significantly extend the device’s lifespan.
